Like a whole toblerone to yourself kind of a bridge.)

In case you didn't know, it is June. Just checking in. Hee hee.

~kandaceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10065760.post-24737395361188848002009-05-05T18:56:00.000-04:002009-05-05T18:56:00.000-04:00Cori, my patience with Ava's constant frinkle face...Cori, my patience with Ava's constant frinkle face only goes so far. It is frustrating when her shyness translates into bad manners!

However, the other day Ava actually smiled and WAVED at a random lady who talked to her! I was so shocked, I asked Ava if she had waved to the nice lady. ha!

Fortunately (at least it is good for now) Ava worships her social butterfly sister so maybe she'll learn to say "hello" one day without morphing into a deaf mute.Jennboreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01920449345093917410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10065760.post-67643494860161310272009-05-03T19:55:00.000-04:002009-05-03T19:55:00.000-04:00It's good to see you back again...I was missing yo...It's good to see you back again...I was missing your posts!

I can totally relate to Ava and how her shyness or lack of social ability comes across as bratty. Chloe was just like that! She would frown at people instead of smile. She was permanently attached to me. I had to apologize for her behavior towards others constantly. Then one day...she became happy with the world. She stopped being shy and everyone was her friend. She smiled at people. She said "hello". I had no idea this day would ever happen...but was so, so happy it did. She decided to 'come out of her shell' at the end of her 4th year.

Good luck. But you have one huge advantage over me...you are accepting Ava how and where she is, not trying to change her. That was a real struggle for me. I had these ideas and hopes for what my little girl should and would be. I transferred those ideals to her way too often and instead of loving her thru it, I'm sad to say I got way too frustrated with her, way too often, for just being her.corihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00269641533974005502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10065760.post-77540375780164301972009-04-28T10:54:00.000-04:002009-04-28T10:54:00.000-04:00The teachers send a calendar home at the beginning...The teachers send a calendar home at the beginning of each month full of what they'll be doing. Bella loves Susie Science and when they get to use the computers. I'm not sure why her sudden dislike has surfaced other than maybe she's just ready for a break.

Oh, and she doesn't want to poop at school. That's a whole other issue!Jennboreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01920449345093917410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10065760.post-68902470531605357872009-04-27T22:20:00.000-04:002009-04-27T22:20:00.000-04:00Bubby still wishes that Izzy would come up at nigh...Bubby still wishes that Izzy would come up at night to sleep with us...but now he's a "big boy" and never does....it makes us so sad.

Izzy also hates school. The one thing that has helped is that I printed off a calender from Microsoft office for two months at a time and stick it on the fridge. Any event that Izzy has coming up...school days, a birthday party to attend etc. goes on the calender. It's amazing how many less tears that take place if he knows from day to day whether he's going to school or looking forward to an event.

OK rambling now -------tallulahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02844399832417509801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10065760.post-48708046814089821142009-04-27T19:29:00.000-04:002009-04-27T19:29:00.000-04:00Adorable pictures!
