...Chicken...
Yes, ladies and gents, it appears that I'm going to have a chicken removed from me in October and not a child. Why? Because on the sonogram, my wee little inhabitant apparently has a yolk sac. When pregnant with Bella, I was told she had a placenta. But on the printout of this one's sonogram picture it is spelled out for me. Yolk sac.
So, any name suggestions for my little chick will be greatly appreciated.
Chicken will be born by c-section scheduled on Oct.2, if all goes well and he/she doesn't peck his/her way out sooner.
I love to plan in advance! I"m already obsessively redoing Isabella's room on the other side of the house as well as Cluckie's next to her. Think I'll go with yellow.

October is a good birthday month! I think it's funny that you already have a birthdate planned for Chicken Little. :)
I like it. Yellow is the color we started Little Man's room with, and I liked it even when we brought home a boy. It was nice and bright and happy. :)
Congrats on finding out that you are having a chicken...next week (3/6-13) I get to go out to audit a chicken farm...maybe I'll ask them for names...:) Odd bit of info...did you know that a baby chick is called a "Pullet" ( Pull-it ) until they are some 18 weeks old. So that could be a possible name...for now at least! :) Hope you have a great weekend.
Oooooooooooh....Pullet. I like it! We'll put the name on the list.
So do you have to count all their chickens before they are hatched?
HA!
Congratulations on Number Two. My husband, eager for SOMEONE to take his suggestion, would like offer the name, "Clevis the Fetus."
It has a nice ring to it, no?
no comment on clevis.
speaking of chicken little, wasn't that hilarious on AI last night???
Didn't see AI last night. Clevis sounds almost porn-like so I'll leave it off the list.
Princess, I think knee jerk reaction was to want a boy since we have a girl, but now we honestly don't care! Either will be fun and just as much a challenge!
I think "Poulet" is lovely. Significant, given the whole "yolk sac" deal, and french. What could be cooler?
;)
