Funny Phonics

Bella speaks extraordinarily well but she, like any other toddler, has trouble pronouncing certain letters. For her, it is "r" and "k".

Last night she was in the shower, her new favorite pastime, and husband decided to conduct English class.

H: Bella, can you say "O"?

B: O!

H: Good! Now can you say "kay"...for "K?"

B: Kay!

H: Great job! Are you ready to get out of the shower?

B: O'HAY!

*sigh*

I find that I get a little sad each time my son learns to say something correctly. Just another reminder that he's growing up far too quickly.

Very true, Chaos. I think with Bella turning 3 on Saturday there's a part of me that is sad to see her leave babyhood.

LOL....

I agree with chaos. I wish I'd written down more of what The Boy said "wrong." It sounded way cuter!

I SO agree with Chaos, in fact the fact she is speaking at all is kind of sad to me, it was not so long ago she was a little thing in my belly driving me crazy by sticking her feet into my ribcage and hanging on! Now, she is a "big girl!" What happened?

Too bad there's no Auntie Kora in the family.

HAHAHA...Tallulah. We've already had a few words from her mouth that made us wince. I'm still not sure what she meant when she said Daddy was a "bish".
